James Connor and Dr. Lisette Garcia are long-time students of Buddhism and have studied in the United States as well as in India. James and Lisette are extremely popular teachers in New York City and the Hamptons and are best known for formal study courses on meditation.

With the Spiritual Partner teachings, they are reaching a larger audience, beyond religious affiliation, to help people improve relationships using ancient wisdom.

James and Lisette gained the lineage from their Teachers’ Geshe Michael Roach and Lama Christie McNally as well as their blessing to pass on Spiritual Partner practices.

James is the CEO of The James Group, a brand strategy and full-service advertising agency in NYC. Lisette has a PhD in experimental psychology and is recent recipient of a National Science Foundation Grant for her work in eyewitness lineups and witness memory.

Geshe Michael Roach is the first American to complete 25 years of study in the Tibetan monastic system and earn the prestigious title of Geshe. Lama Christie McNally is a prominent Sanskrit and Tibetan scholar. Together, Geshe Michael and Lama Christie recently completed a three year, three month, silent meditation retreat in the Arizona Desert and founded Diamond Mountain University, drawing students from all over the world to learn a complete path to enlightenment.

Geshe Michael and Lama Christie are currently training their closest students, including James and Lisette, for another three-year retreat starting in October 2010.
